The sense of reward you receive once you finally work out the solution to a puzzle in A Link Between Worlds is unparalleled. I tackled a couple of the dungeons and it then became clear why Zelda is such a beloved series. Luckily I met a mysterious fortune teller who gave me a hint as to where I should go. It’s quite overwhelming to realise that exploring Hyrule and Lorule involves no hand-holding, especially when the game appears so welcoming with its bright colour pallette, cheerful art-style, and friendly characters. Although there are several cliches in A Link Between Worlds, they are done well, and the simplicity of the story is refreshing.Īfter the initial plot set-up and introductions to characters the game follows a nonlinear structure there is little indication of which dungeon should be tackled first and no indication of which weapons you’ll need to rent or what they do. The story is a simple one and aside from at the beginning and end, the narrative is sparse but this is not detrimental to the game.

Link must journey through seven treacherous dungeons in order to free the sages and save Hyrule from imminent destruction. In A Link Between Worlds you play as Link, the iconic, green-hat-wearing hero who accidentally becomes central to the plot of – you guessed it – saving the Princess, and the world of Hyrule from the evil sorcerer Yuga a character who has entrapped Princess Zelda and seven sages in paintings across the world of Lorule. So, although I had dipped my toes into a bit of Mariokart here and there, I never played any Zelda.Īfter recently purchasing a 3DS I finally decided to take the plunge into the Zelda series, starting with A Link Between Worlds. The Gamecube flew past me whilst I played Xbox, the Wii flew past me whilst I was on the 360, and the Wii U flew past everyone. This is somewhat due to never having owned a Nintendo console.

A large skin top allows a variety of part choices.Zelda is a series that I have never played, even after having heard so many good things about it. It is heat resistant up to 410 degrees for styling with curling irons and flatirons. Or, perhaps, the infamous animated series.Īlthough the style that the princess wears is very simple in this game, the Athena wig is fantastic for more complicated styles as well. This includes a few brunette options if you wanted to try a Princess Zelda cosplay from one of the earlier generations. Of course, Epic Cosplay also offers the Athena in a variety of other colors too. The color – Autumn Gold – serves as a fantastic match for the character’s vibrant yellow locks. Cutting the bangs short and blunt ensured a perfect match for this Princess Zelda cosplay.
The flowing Athena wig measures at 40” in length, with the bangs pre-cut at 15” inches. Toferet Cosplay used the Athena wig from Epic Cosplay to create Princess Zelda’s long and shining hair. Of all the styles this character has worn throughout the series, the outfit from Link Between Worlds always make for a fun and vibrant Princess Zelda cosplay. A series of surprise betrayals ensures this rescue does not go smoothly – as so few adventure game rescues do. Trapped in a painting by the evil Yuga and kept in the care of her palette-swapped likeness Princess Hilda, Zelda spends much of the game awaiting rescue from the hero Link. This lovely Princess Zelda cosplay captures the elegant Hylian ruler as she appears in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
